Zayan is currently working at the Civil Court of Maldives. He is a second-year law student at The Maldives National University, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Shari’ah and Law with honours.

He has actively participated in various moot court competitions, including the prestigious 21^st Annual Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Competition, the AIAC APAC Pre-Moot, the 14^th Annual Middle East Willem C. Vis Pre-Moot, and the 14^th Moscow Pre-Moot. Zayan received the Best Memorandum for the Respondent (Third Place) award at the 14^th Annual Middle East Willem C. Vis Pre-Moot.
