Open positions: Administrative Leadership
(1) Mooting Advocacy Head
The Mooting Advocacy Head will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the Mooting Advocacy Team. This includes overseeing planning, supervision, and execution of all mooting-related initiatives, and ensuring that they reflect MMCS’s broader mission of legal education and advocacy. The Head works closely with the Mooting Advocacy Executive, the Executive Committee and the Administrative Leadership to deliver impactful mooting programs.
Responsibilities:
- Set the vision, goals, and priorities for the Mooting Advocacy Team in alignment with MMCS’s mission.
- Oversee the planning and development of the mooting advocacy programs.
- Execution of all mooting-related programs.
- Supervise the work of the Mooting Advocacy Director, Mooting Advocacy Public Relations Director.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to support team members’ growth and effectiveness.
- Maintain open channels of communication with relevant stakeholders to support collaboration.
- Mentoring and coaching members participating in moot court competitions, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Mooting Advocacy Executive or MMCS Executive Committee.
(2) Mooting Advocacy Director
The Mooting Advocacy Director will play a central role in executing and managing the team’s day-to-day operations. This includes supporting the Executive and Head in planning and implementation, coordinating mooting programs, and ensuring that all initiatives are effectively carried out. The Director acts as the operational backbone of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Translate the team’s strategic goals into actionable programs, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate logistics and content for mooting programs.
- Maintain timelines, task lists, and team coordination tools to ensure timely progress.
- Collaborate with the Public Relations Directors to synchronize advocacy and communication efforts.
- Maintain open channels of communication with relevant stakeholders to support collaboration.
- Mentoring and coaching members participating in moot court competitions, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Executive and Head of Mooting Advocacy or MMCS Executive Committee.
(3) Mooting Advocacy Public Relations Director
The Mooting Advocacy Public Relations Director is responsible for shaping and managing the public image of MMCS’s mooting-related initiatives. This includes creating and publishing digital promotional content, and enhancing outreach across multiple platforms. A key part of this role also involves contributing to MMCS’s legal content by writing blogs and reflective pieces on mooting and legal advocacy.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare social media posts, digital content and outreach materials in line with the MMCS branding and messaging.
- Research and write law blogs, case commentaries, focused on mooting, oral advocacy, and legal education.
- Liaise with platforms to promote programs of MMCS.
- Maintain a consistent and professional brand identity for all mooting-related content and visuals.
- Monitor audience engagement and manage interactions across MMCS communication platforms.
- Work closely with the Mooting Advocacy Executive, Mooting Advocacy Head and Mooting Advocacy Director to align team efforts.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by MMCS leadership to support its mooting mission.
(4) ADR Advocacy Director
The ADR Advocacy Director will play a central role in executing and managing the day-to-day operations of the ADR Advocacy Team. This includes supporting the Executive and Head in planning and implementation, coordinating ADR-related programs, and ensuring smooth execution of all initiatives. The Director acts as the operational backbone of the team.
Responsibilities:

- Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Executive and Head of ADR Advocacy or MMCS Executive Committee.
(5) ADR Advocacy Public Relations Director
The ADR Advocacy Public Relations Director is responsible for shaping and managing the public image of MMCS’s ADR-related initiatives. This includes preparing and publishing digital promotional content, managing outreach across various platforms, and contributing to MMCS’s legal content by writing blogs and summaries related to arbitration, mediation, and other forms of dispute resolution.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare social media posts, announcements, and outreach materials aligned with MMCS’s branding.
- Research and write law blogs and case summaries on ADR topics and developments.
- Liaise with platforms to promote MMCS’s ADR programs and events.
- Ensure a consistent and professional brand identity for all ADR-related content.
- Monitor engagement across MMCS’s platforms and manage public interactions related to ADR content.
- Collaborate with the ADR Advocacy Executive, ADR Advocacy Head and Director to align team efforts.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by MMCS leadership to support its ADR advocacy mission.
(6) Legal Content Manager
The Legal Content Manager is responsible for overseeing all legal content initiatives of MMCS. This role involves supervising a team of writers and editors, ensuring high-quality legal writing, and aligning content output with the organization’s educational and advocacy goals. The Manager serves as the primary point of contact for planning, assigning, and reviewing written legal content and social media posts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a content calendar in line with MMCS’s priorities.
- Supervise the work of legal content writers and editors, ensuring timely and high-quality output.
- Assign writing and editing tasks, review drafts, and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure that all content aligns with MMCS’s mission, tone, and legal accuracy standards.
- Collaborate with the MMCS Executive Committee and advocacy teams to identify priority topics.
- Undertake any other responsibilities as assigned by MMCS leadership to support the content strategy.
(7) Legal Content Writer
The Legal Content Writer for MMCS will play a pivotal role in crafting engaging and informative legal content across various platforms. This role includes researching legal topics, writing blogs, case summaries, and news pieces relevant to the Maldives, and making social media posts to contribute to MMCS’s legal education and advocacy initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on relevant legal topics, recent developments, and case law.
- Write blog articles, news updates, case commentaries, and social media posts tailored to a legal and student audience.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and originality in all content submissions.
- Contribute content to ongoing MMCS projects such as the Law’s Finest initiative.
- Collaborate with the content editor and manager to revise and finalize pieces.
- Follow MMCS’s style guide and adhere to deadlines.
- Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Legal Content Manager or MMCS Executive Committee.
(8) Legal Content Editor
The Legal Content Editor ensures the quality, consistency, and legal accuracy of all written materials published by MMCS. This role involves reviewing, editing, and proofreading drafts and social media posts submitted by the Legal Content Writers, as well as maintaining the overall editorial standard for all publications.
Responsibilities:
- Review and edit legal articles, case summaries, blog posts, our Law’s Finest Initiative and social media posts for clarity, grammar, and coherence.
- Ensure that all content is legally accurate and aligned with MMCS’s style and tone.
- Work closely with writers to provide detailed editorial feedback and suggestions.
- Assist in developing and updating MMCS’s internal editorial and style guides.
- Coordinate with the Legal Content Manager to maintain publication timelines and content quality.
- Proofread final drafts before they are published or shared publicly.
- Undertake any other responsibilities assigned by the Manager or MMCS Executive Committee.
