Open positions: Executive Committee

(1) Events Executive

The Events Executive for MMCS will be responsible for developing, planning, and executing a variety of events (both online and offline) to support the organization’s objectives and engage its members and stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities: 

Event Development:

  • Develop event concepts, themes, and objectives in line with the goals of MMCS. 
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm ideas. 

Event Execution:

  • Assist in creating detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate logistics of the event. 
  • Manage event registrations and attendee communications.
  • Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring everything runs smoothly and according to plan.

Event Promotion and Marketing:

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote events and increase attendance.
  • Collaborate with the Content Writer and Content Creator to create engaging content related to events.
  • Monitor and track event performance, including attendance, feedback, and ROI.

Budget Management:

  • Assist in preparing event budgets, tracking expenses, and managing costs to ensure events are delivered within budget.
  • Collaborate with the Finance executive of MMCS for budget management.
  • Review and approve invoices, contracts, and other financial documents related to events.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support our events and initiatives.

(2) Finance Executive

The Finance Executive for MMCS will be responsible for managing the organization’s finances, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. The Finance Executive will play a crucial role in supporting MMCS’s financial stability and growth by overseeing financial operations and providing financial insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Securing funds for the organization. 
  • Monitor cash flow, prepare cash forecasts, and ensure funds are allocated appropriately.
  • Review and approve invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring the annual budget and financial plans.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with the team to support organizational goals and financial activities. 

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as assigned by the supervisor or management.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support MMCS.

Open positions: Administrative Leadership

(1) Content Writer

The Content Writer for MMCS will play a pivotal role in crafting and curating compelling and informative content across various platforms. This role involves conducting thorough research on relevant legal topics, writing engaging articles, blogs, news pieces, and social media posts. Additionally, the Content Writer will be responsible for creating and maintaining style guides to ensure consistency. 

Responsibilities:

Research:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on legal topics, legal news, cases and other relevant areas. 
  • Gather information from credible sources, including academic journals, legal databases, interviews, and online resources.

Content Creation:

  • Write clear, concise, and engaging content for MMCS’s blog, website, news pieces, and social media platforms.
  • Curating questions for the Law’s Finest initiative of MMCS.
  • Ensuring that the content is accurate, well-researched, and free from grammatical or factual errors.

Style Guide Development:

  • Create and maintain style guides to ensure consistency in our content across all platforms.
  • Define and implement guidelines for tone, style, formatting, and terminology.
  • Update style guides as needed to reflect changes in MMCS’s branding or content strategy.

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the team to align content with our objectives and initiatives.

Content Optimization:

  • Optimize content for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to increase visibility and reach.
  • Use relevant keywords, meta descriptions, and tags to improve search engine rankings.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Assist with proofreading, editing, and updating existing content as needed.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support our content strategy and initiatives.

(2) Visual Content Designer

The Visual Content Designer for MMCS will be responsible for designing visually appealing and engaging content using design tools. This role requires a creative mindset and the ability to translate ideas into visually compelling graphics, infographics, and other multimedia materials. The Visual Content Designer will play a vital role in enhancing our online presence, branding, and communication efforts through visually captivating content.

Responsibilities:

Creation of Visual Content:

  • Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, social media posts, banners, and other promotional materials. 
  • Create branded templates and layouts for MMCS’s website, social media platforms, and publications.
  • Collaborate with the Content Writer and other team members to develop content concepts and visual assets that align with MMCS’s brand and messaging.

Visual Branding and Identity:

  • Assist in maintaining and evolving our visual branding guidelines and identity.
  • Ensure consistency in visual elements across all our communication channels and materials.
  • Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance our visual brand presence. 

Social Media Management:

  • Create and schedule visually appealing content for our website and social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and X. 
  • Monitor social media engagement and analytics to identify trends and opportunities for visual content optimization.
  • Develop and execute visual content strategies that drive engagement and growth.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with the team to ensure alignment and collaboration on content creation and branding initiatives.
  • Attend team meetings and brainstorming sessions to contribute creative ideas and insights.
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their visual content needs and deliver high-quality designs.

Quality Assurance and Optimization:

  • Optimize visual content for various platforms, devices, and screen sizes to ensure maximum reach and engagement.
  • Stay updated on design trends, best practices, and new features in design tools to continually improve our visual content.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Assist with ad-hoc design projects and initiatives as assigned by the supervisor or management.
  • Provide support during events, workshops, and other MMCS activities by creating event-related visual materials and signage.
  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support MMCS.

(3) ADR Advocacy Director

The ADR Advocacy Director for MMCS will play an essential role in supporting the ADR Advocacy Head in developing ADR-related programs, creating content related to ADR, and assisting with various advocacy initiatives focused on ADR. This role requires a strong understanding of ADR principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the ADR Advocacy Head and other team members. The ADR Advocacy Director will contribute to the promotion and advancement of ADR as an effective dispute resolution mechanism. 

Responsibilities:

Program Development:

  • Assist the ADR Advocacy Head in developing, planning, and implementing ADR-related programs, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with the ADR Advocacy Head to identify topics, speakers, and resources for ADR programs.

Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the ADR Advocacy Head and Content Writer to create and curate content related to ADR, including articles, blog posts, guides, and multimedia materials.
  • Assist in developing educational resources and training materials to support participants in learning about ADR principles and practices.
  • Contribute ideas and insights to help enhance the quality and relevance of ADR content produced by MMCS.

Support and Collaboration:

  • Assist the ADR Advocacy Head in mentoring and coaching members interested in ADR, providing guidance, and facilitating networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with the ADR Advocacy Head to align on goals, strategies, and initiatives related to ADR advocacy.
  • Support the ADR Advocacy Head in stakeholder communication, relationship building, and representation of MMCS at external events and networking opportunities.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support MMCS.

(4) Mooting Advocacy Head

The Mooting Advocacy Head for MMCS will be responsible for identifying, leading and organizing moot court competitions, as well as creating content related to mooting to promote advocacy skills among members. This role requires a deep understanding of moot court procedures, strong leadership skills, creativity, and the ability to engage and inspire members to participate in mooting activities. The Mooting Advocacy Head will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of excellence in mooting. 

Responsibilities:

Moot Court Competitions:

  • Lead and organize moot court competitions, including selecting competition topics, drafting hypothetical cases, and coordinating with participating teams.
  • Identify moot court competitions and securing funding for teams.
  • Develop competition rules, guidelines, and judging criteria to ensure fairness and transparency.
  • Coordinate with judges, legal professionals, and guest speakers for competitions.

Content Creation:

  • Create and curate content related to mooting, including articles, blog posts, guides, and multimedia materials.
  • Develop educational resources and training materials to support participants in improving their mooting skills.
  • Collaborate with the Content Writer and Visual Content Designer to produce engaging and informative content for MMCS’s website, social media, and publications.

Miscellaneous Tasks:

  • Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support our initiatives.

(5) Mooting Advocacy Director

The Mooting Advocacy Director for MMCS will play a crucial role in supporting the Mooting Advocacy Head in identifying, leading and organizing moot court competitions, creating content related to mooting, and assisting with various advocacy initiatives. This role requires a solid understanding of moot court procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the Mooting Advocacy Head and other team members. The Mooting Advocacy Director will help ensure the smooth execution of mooting activities and contribute to fostering a culture of excellence in mooting. 

Responsibilities:

Moot Court Competitions:

  • Assist the Mooting Advocacy Head in organizing moot court competitions, including coordinating with participating teams, judges, and legal professionals.
  • Identify moot court competitions and securing funding for teams.
  • Support the development of competition rules, guidelines, and judging criteria to ensure fairness and transparency.
  • Participate in the evaluation and feedback process for moot court competitions to help improve future events.

Content Creation:

  • Collaborate with the Mooting Advocacy Head, Content Writers and Visual Content Designer to create and curate content related to mooting, such as articles, blog posts, guides, and multimedia materials.

Support and Collaboration:

  • Assist the Mooting Advocacy Head in mentoring and coaching members participating in moot court competitions, providing guidance and feedback as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with the Mooting Advocacy Head to align on goals, strategies, and initiatives related to mooting advocacy.
  • Support the Mooting Advocacy Head in stakeholder communication, relationship building, and representation of MMCS at external events and networking opportunities.
